Opening Day-Very windy!

Ty up to bat

Ty playing Center Field.

We lost the game by a few points and poor Ty was so nervous he struck out.

He made up for it in the second game (Monday, March 17, 2008)! He struck out the first time he was up to bat. Played right field first time out let a grounder go all the way to fence then threw it to center field instead of in field. Second time up to bat, everyone is hollering at him to loosen up, bounce, chock up on the bat first pitch a strike coach pulls him back shakes him and says loosen up! he scoots back in the box chocks up on the bat, bends his knees and smacks the ball between i think 2nd and center field, he gets on 1st base. he steals second, third and finally makes it home. I cannot remember if we got our 5 runs (cannot get more than 5 runs in an inning) or we got out but when our team was in the field Ty was now playing 2nd base. Codi was pitching and got one out then the next batter got up there and hit it straight to Ty he caught it and stood there for a second (seemed like an hour)...sorry we had a runner on second....the runner was going to 3 until he saw Ty had caught it....he went back to second but Ty got him out in the last second and that was the ball game! He Played awesome! he got the game ball and was on cloud 9 all night! We were all so proud of him!!!! He has another game on Wednesday at 8pm again.
